Eat in / Take away Tax calculation

Post by Jon Rogan »

CES has a great way for the retailer to truly benefit from the tax man legally!

The eat in and take away options are rarely utilised in the right way. Below we offer the solution to benefit them and of course you the reseller with more sales.

Firstly in settings you need to enable the "Tax Shift" setting

Then in back office, navigate to Tax Shift Profiles

If you do not have them setup we would suggest adding a Take Away and Eat in option with necessary pricing levels and pop ups when selected to notify the operator. Also ensure you have the Eat in added to go back to the correct Tax rate IF the customer has take away and eat in , in the same order.

Once in here you decide which items are to shift tax rates you then move those across. This can PLU , Department or Group or a combination of those.

Once complete you should be able to add buttons in the sales mode called 1*VATSHIFT and 2*VATSHIFT

To test this feature, add a single product with two different price level pricing to demonstrate the feature. Within the settings your end user can opt to lower prices by the VAT or keep the windfall for themselves and in turn increase their bottom line.
